Tony
Smith, Talented musician and world traveler, is known throughout the
Chicago area. He is a regular attraction at night clubs far and wide
in Chicago and it's surrounding suburbs. When Tony performs, you are
seeing a man dedicated to the art of music. More than dedicated, he
loves his work. But Tony is more than a musician, he is also an entertainer.
Tony plays a variety of music, you name it and he will play it. Jazz,
blues, rock and roll, and raggae numbers are all in his repertoire.
He makes you feel like one of the family. |
| Jimmy
Pryor is the oldest member of Tony's present group. Jimmy is the vocalist
and plays bass guitar. He is very versatile in his style and has gained
favor among fans. Jimmys background is a church singer from the age
of 7. Later, he was with a group called "Lefty Diz" for
one year, then with "Jimmy Mayes and the Mill St. Depot"
for three years. Jimmy has been with Tony Smith for 14 years since
the Grand Plaza Hotel. He has a remarkable voice. He sings blues,
rock and roll, country and sweet love songs. His voice is like silk
rubbing against satin - real smooth. |

Alonzo
Smith started out playing the bass guitar. But as time passed Alonzo
realized that he had more talent and so he taught himself the keyboard,
guitar, and drums, and as a result, is multitalented musician. His
imitation of James Brown is a show stopper. |
| Miss
Diane Ellis, the first female ever to join the Tony Smith Show, plays
alto, flute, piano, and sings. Her rendition of "Harlem Nocturne"
and "The Way We Were" always receives a standing ovation.
Diane graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Music. |
